Similar to the Office Ergonomic Assessment but in a service related field or manufacturing area. The occupational therapist will assess all risk factors associated with soft tissue injury in this context including force, posture, repetition, and duration as well as behavioural factors. A detailed report will be completed in a timely manner (within 5 business days) and sent to the referral source. The report will include symptom identification, a brief task analysis, anthropometric measurements, environmental measurements, recommendations already implemented onsite, and recommendations to be implemented. The recommendations to be implemented may include the following:

(1) Suggestions for any equipment change including specific product recommendation

(2) Suggestions for any environmental change

(3) Suggestions for use of good work habits

(4) Suggestions for task organization

The report will also indicate where you may purchase the recommended products. ErgonomicAssessment.ca is not affiliated with any supplier but suggests suppliers based on experience in the ergonomics industry.
